Could This Peppermint Oil Supplement Be Your Natural Remedy For IBS?

Do you find yourself often suffering from an upset stomach, bloating, gas and/or occasional diarrhea?

You could be suffering from Irritable Bowel Syndrome (IBS)

IBS is the most common of functional gastrointestinal disorders. Affecting millions of American adults (10%-12%), IBS does not discriminate regardless of age, sex, or race but is more common among women and young people. IBS is characterized by persistent tummy aches, bloating, gas, bubble guts, shitties constipation, etc.

The worst part is that these symptoms frequently coexist, leading to debilitating GI issues.

    IBS can ruin your life.

Did you know that studies have shown that patients with IBS often report lower productivity at work as well as an increased rate of absence?

A University of Gothenburg, Sweden study found that 24.4% of patients with jobs reported that they missed work because of IBS and 86.8% reported some measure of impairment while at work because of their disease. (Frändemark A, et al. 2018)

IBS has imposed a significant burden on our healthcare system and negatively affects the lives of individuals around the world.

There are many synthetic drugs and over-the-counter treatments that your doctor might prescribe you for IBS.

    Some of these drugs include:

    • Alosetron

    • Eluxadoline

    • Rifaximin

    • Linaclotide

We have all know the story with big pharma drugs.

There has to be a better way.

Like many of us out there, you may be looking for a more natural solution for your sh*tty (pun intended) situation.

     Look no further.

Introducing BOOTY MINT: Peppermint Oil Gels

BOOTY MINT: IBS PEPPERMINT OIL SUPPLEMENT

For centuries, peppermint oil has been used as a natural IBS remedy. We have used a modern approach to engineer a natural solution.

BOOTY MINT: Peppermint Oil Gels is a natural IBS supplement formulated with a proprietary mix of peppermint oil, fennel oil, and ginger oil.

    Ingredient: Peppermint Oil

The American Journal of Gastroenterology recommends peppermint oil for overall symptom improvement. Clinical studies have shown that as a part of the diet, peppermint oil may be able to relieve IBS symptoms. One 4-week, randomized, double-blind, placebo-controlled clinical trial compared the use of peppermint oil vs an identical placebo taken 3 times daily in patients fulfilling Rome III criteria for IBS-M or IBS-D. Patients in the Peppermint Oil group experienced greater improvement in multiple individual gastrointestinal symptoms as well as in severe or unbearable symptoms, compared to placebo. ( Cash BD, Epstein MS, Shah SM, 2016)
Another randomized double-blind placebo-controlled study on 90 outpatients with IBS. Subjects took one capsule of enteric-coated, delayed-release peppermint oil or placebo three times daily for 8 weeks. The number of subjects free from abdominal pain or discomfort changed from 0 at week 0 to 14 at week 8 in the peppermint oil group vs 0 to 6 in the control group. ( Merat S, Khalili S, Mostajabi P, et al. 2010)

It is believed that Peppermint Oil helps relieve IBS by acting as a smooth muscle relaxant on the digestive system. This relaxation helps keep your stomach in check and avoid spasms that can contribute to IBS flare-ups.

    Ingredient: Fennel Oil

Fennel is an ancient herb with a mild licorice flavor that, through dietary management, helps relieve IBS symptoms, including bloating, gas, and intestinal spasms. Clinical studies have shown that, as part of the diet, fennel helps regulate contractions of the small intestine and aids gas expulsion. (Portincasa et al, 2016) Fennel also relaxes the gut, which can relieve spasms of the GI tract. As a result, fennel may assist in overall symptom improvement and quality of life in IBS patients.

    Ingredient: Ginger Oil

Zingiber officinale (Zingiberaceae) is a common spice and a medicine widely cultivated in tropical and subtropical climate around the globe, which contains both precious polyphenols and terpenes in its extracts. Ginger is known to be helpful for a wide variety of digestive ailments.
